Joseph Junior Adenuga, aka Skepta, was born on the 19th of September 1982 and is a successful English grime artist of Nigerian descent. He started as a DJ for the grime crew Meridian Crew. After Meridian Crew disbanded in 2005, Skepta and his brother JME joined Roll Deep before becoming the founders of Boy Better Know in 2006. At Lord of the Mics 2, Skepta clashed with MC Devilman and it came to be known as one of the biggest clashes in grime history.

- 17th September 2007, Skepta released his debut album Greatest Hits on his label Boy Better Know

- 2012, release of "Hold On" and "Make Peace Not War" were Top 40 charting singles in the UK

- March 2014, released new single "That's Not Me" featuring his brother JME, reaching number 21 on the UK music charts

- "That's Not Me" music video won Best Video at 2014 MOBO Awards and only cost £80

 

His most recent album Konnichiwa was a huge success in the UK selling 60,000 units. Konnichiwa became Grime's highest charting album, reaching number 2 in the UK music charts this year.

 

He is the co-founder, along with his brother JME, of the record label Boy Better Know who have signed huge artists such as Drake and Wiley.

Skepta keeps his clothing simple; either black or white. He wears a cap majority of the time but when he doesn't he has a short haircut. Recently, he has decided to bring colour into his image however not dramatically used.

Skepta is always looking into the camera  this is always seen in his photoshoots this is to intimidate the audience.
